Very fast delivery , thanks ! It looks like a high-quality tool, but I haven’t worked with it yet... I’m sure there won’t be any problems! You have to believe and everything will be great!

Good tool, no fool! Also makes a cool tool!

I bought some Bontrager Sport cranks for my bike and they came with a bottom bracket. I had never changed one out before so i watched a utube video on the subject. Turns out you need a special tool to perform such a task so I went with Lumintrail because I recognized the brand (I have one of their 1000lumen 10 hour rechargeable lights) and the price was right. Free shipping to boot. I changed out the bottom bracket like a pro, but had to retighten because I didn’t apply the necessary torque initially. Not the parts fault, mine lol. Good tool! I actually made a sp0ke wrench from the old bottom bracket (see photo)

  • RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB!

If bottom bracket has dimensions for this tool, then it is necessary. I took advice of another reviewer and threaded a bolt thru tool into end of tapered square shaft to prevent tool from slipping off. Had to use a Lg crescent wrench w/cheater bar to get the thing apart. Was able to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble bottom bracket. Now it rotates smoothly like it is supposed to.

  • Works well after finishing

Mine had some excess slag on a few of the teeth that kept it from fully engaging into the slots of the bottom bracket. I was able to remove the excess slag with a small file, and now it works as intended. Otherwise I'm really happy with it, it works well as a socket on a 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar.

  • Decent Shimano Octalink bracket removal tool

The product works great but you will need to come up with a way to clamp it on tight while you turn it since the "fingers" don't go in very far into the bottom bracket. The fingers are not squared at the front edges; they're rounded off. I threaded a very long bolt, nut and washers through the bottom bracket to clamp this tool in place.

Worked great the one time I needed to use it. Remains to be seen if it'll work as well the second time. I am optimistic
