    Good rollover protection for HPI 5B & Rovan 1/5 scale Baja

    My original HPI 5B cage snapped in a wreck, I replaced the cheap plastic original with this chrome steel beast of a cage, now it feels like the motor is protected. You will need to re-use the front cage mount that goes above the receiver box or buy a new metal one, (not included) and it was a snug fit, but i could not build one for the money and it is much sturdier than the original. overall great value

    Looks are deceiving

    While it looks great, it's a bitch to install. The metal rods weren't formed right on the rear and I had to bend them to install them correctly. The wing mounts aren't welded straight but with some rubber mallet work I made it work. Like I said, once on, it looks good.

    Don't use aluminum lights, they can't handle the weight.

    Passenger side light mount broke off both of the ones I bought. No wrecks involved. Had the aluminum lights mounted. I guess they can't handle the weight. I figured the metal roll cage could take it, and the first one was just a lemon.

    Bent by shipping

    Should of been bubble wrapped, the mounting legs were bent out of alignment making installing difficult, had to re tweak it
