With gameplay inspired by Super Mario Kart (by way of Road Rash) and visuals that would appear right at home in an episode of The Flintstones, B.C. Racers doesn't exactly rock, but it is a likable, kid-friendly entry in the go-cart racing genre. Players drive motorcycles (complete with sidecars) through 32 prehistoric courses, bashing competitors with clubs and other weapons while trying to win each race. Although good for light entertainment, the game could use some graphical polish as the pixelated track makes it hard to see power-ups. More sound effects wouldn't hurt, either. In addition, the controls are a bit clumsy unless gamers are equipped with a six-button control pad.

    Pretty good game

    In the prehistoric bicycle race put together by Millstone Rockerfella, Cliff Ace wants the first place prize, a Boulderdash Bike, so badly he can taste it. Cliff brings along his cave-babe, Roxy, for what is sure to be the race of their lifetime. They ride their dino-powered dirt bike through 32 fantastic heats, with amazing 3D graphics and a track full of prehistoric competitors.
