These wheels coupled with truck tunning will improve car performance, or so I'm told. They do ride better than wheels that came with older cars such as AHM, Tyco, LL, or Bachman.

I think Walthers metal wheel sets are the finest on the market. I'm in the process of converting a large collection of rolling stock to metal wheels, and find the 100-piece boxes to be the best value.

Very good product. One wheel is insulated from the other. Steel axels add strength over plastic. A little added weight makes your cars more stable too. Helps keep track cleaner as well. Steel wheels don't pick up as much dirt as plastic ones.

Darkened wheel sets blend nicely with the equipment and don't need immediate painting to tone down the shine. I fit these into a variety of trucks from Accurail, Athearn, Bowser, Roundhouse, McKean, E&B Valley, Details West, Train Miniature, Walthers ect and they fit well and offer free rolling trucks. Excellent choice vs other more expensive alternatives.
