    Great upgrade for old laptop

    I had an old HP DV7 laptop with a dual core i3 inside. This quad core i7 processor is a great upgrade for that old machine. Just make sure your power supply adapter can handle the load. My original HP 90w adapter did not have enough juice to power the 4 cores at their full speed and they were running at 1600MHz max. I bought an HP 120w adapter to fix the issue.

    Great upgrade for old laptops

    I installed this CPU in my Dell Latitude E6510 laptop, to replace the Intel i5-540M that was already in it. The performance boost is great for not much money, and breathes new life into older computers that are compatible with it.

    i7-820QM upgrade

    Dell M4500 upgrade from an i7-620 dual-core the i7-820QM performs noticeably faster and was the greatest value for the money, the i7-940XM is nearly $200 more and only provides less than 600 point increase on cpubenchmark.

    I love it

    A very good upgrade from my old i3 processor and it cost me leas than $40. This was part of a total rebuild that overall cost me less than $300, yet put my 7 year old computer back in competition with many new ones costing $1500-$1800 at Best Buy. I now love my computer again.
