    Tape not strong enough for 1995 Chevy Lumina door strip

    I patched a rust spot on a 1995 Chevy Lumina, and in so doing, I had to remove the molding strip that protects the door from being bumped by another car door. After patching and painting the car door, I replaced the strip using this double sided tape. However, it is just not strong enough to do the job. The molding strip curled as I pulled it off, and the tape could not overcome the curl. I eventually put two part epoxy under where it curled, and clamped it overnight, and that worked well. This tape would probably be all right for something that was less sturdy that this curled plastic strip that I was trying to re-attach, but it did not work well for my use
