Karsten is a young gay man who plans on a trip to Spain with his friends during the summer but his hopes are dashed. His conniving father, who has had his driving license revoked, hides his ticket and enlists Karstens help to drive him around so that he makes all his sales appointments. Karstens father, Wolfgang, is also having problems at work when a new younger sales rep Steven appears on the scene and threatens to take his sales with a new range of modern clothing. And things only get worse, Wolfgang is obsessed with his new car, he and his wife are fighting over what colour to tile the bathroom, short of money Wolfgang starts spending Karstens college fund, Karstens mother is being talked into divorce and to top it all off a chance meeting between Karsten and Steven result in a mutual attraction between the two men. Everything ends with a hilarious action sequence of car crashs, bullets flying, naked men running around, theft, fights and confessions. Altogether a fantastic film! The comedy timing of this film is brilliant and there isn't a bad actor in the bunch. Florian Bartholomai who plays Karsten is utterly adorable and has an amazing ability to look completely inoccent but also knowledgeable at the same time. The chemistry between Steven and Karsten is an absolute fire, everytime Steven looks at Karsten his eyes practically eat him up. This is a German film but the Dvd comes with English subtitles.Read full review
Billed as a comedy, either I do not understand Bavarian humour, or the film just does not seem to work, the film on the whole is somewhat tiresome.
