Package arrived earlier than was expected. It was well wrapped and in good condition. These are great little tools. I bought this one to replace one I lost after 20 plus years of regular use. This new one feels and works just like the old one. This is one of those tools you never knew you needed until you start using it. Now that I'm older and the fingers aren't as agile as they used to be, this little gem is almost indispensable.

    Very handy little tool

This little tool is extremely useful when you need it. It works very well in hard to reach situations. I used one years ago working on computers, fax machines and other office equipment as a service tech. I don't know what ever happened to it, but have always wanted to replace it. Glad I did.

  • Great tool that has a nice length.

I have an Ullman 2-11/16" version of the common screw (flat head) starter that works, but this one has a nice long shank on it and it is easier to use. The shorter one is great in small spaces. The common screw (flat head) end works great. However, the Phillips/Reed & Prince (cross point) starter end does not fit the vast majority of cross point screws I have. It only fits larger screws. Even though that is a drawback, I still like the tool and recommend it.

  • Holds and starts screws extremely well

The Ullman DE-2 is the perfect tool for holding and starting most Philips and Slotted head screws. The quality steel "teeth" securely grip the fastener which allows the screw to be started by hand and then when the screw is seated the tool releases itself automatically. A convenient pocket clip keeps the tool close and ready for use. This is a high quality tool at a great price and best of all, Made in the U.S.A.!

  • No more lost screws

I've had a similar tool for over 50 years but it developed legs and ran away. This new tool works well but the spring pressure is too high making it difficult to use.

  • Only one end worked properly

The slotted screw end worked well, but the phillips screw end would not retain any size screw. I called the manufacturer who seemed puzzled that it would not retain phillips screws. I filed the phillips end to match a phillips screwdriver point and was able to retain screws.
