My Speakers Work Like NEW !!
My Speakers Work Like New ! I carefully followed the included instructions. The process was friendly. The bonding agent ("glue") curing time was "just right" for allowing adequate time to be sure that each speaker alignment was correct. After allowing full curing time, the speakers immediately performed flawlessly. Note: In my case, even though the original foam surrounds were bonded on the back side of the cones, it was much more friendly to bond the replacement surrounds to the front side. For me, this made the process friendly / easy and the results were excellent !!My Speakers Work Like New ! I carefully followed the included instructions. The process was friendly. Perfect kit for JBL J900MV
I used this to repair a pair of JBL J900MV speakers. I bought these used for $50 because all four speaker foams were disintegrating badly leaving holes. This is such a nice speaker that it still sounded awesome. The 4 speaker repair took approximately 3 hours over 2 days and now they sound really good. Well worth the time spent in repairing. Check out the before and after photos. It is important that you use adequate amount of adhesive, too little would leave the gap between cone and foam; too much adhesive would smudge over foam. Both scenarios are bad, perfection requires care and practice so take your time. I used this to repair a pair of JBL J900MV speakers. Would not recommend this kit. The rubber-based glue is not compatible with composite cones as advertised and will bleed through the material. See attached good and bad pics noting that "bad" pic shows dark spots on cone where the glue bled through. Other pic shows cone done with white-type glue which worked much better.
