************I PROMISE, NO SPOILERS- SAFE TO READ************* Although I have thoroughly enjoyed The Women's Murder club, Linday is almost ready for her cape. As written in the book, crimes are NOT solved in the 42 minutes allowed by television and surveillance IS just a couple of steps more exciting than watching paint dry.(Yes, I'm a retired detective, but in narcotics) If you see a "BUT" coming, you're wrong. HOWEVER, (couldn't resist) Lindsay is getting a tad too large for life, in fact, she's better than 10 of the best cops I know,,,combined and has an awful lot of very good luck. Very, VERY good luck. 12th of Never is as entertaining, although, the major crime is about as probable as a tsunami hitting Kansas, and only Kansas. I found myself, and I already read too fast to really sink into books, (liken it to taking the finest chocolate made, cramming into your mouth, two chews and washing it down with Soda) This series is to be SAVIORED. But not this particular title. I found myself rooting for the girls, as always, but too frequently rolling my eyes. it feels like Mr. Patterson almost phoned this particular "episode" in. I would also like to see more loose ends tied up. As you already know, we learned about Cindy's breakup with the good preacher ending in one sentence. I stopped and asked my cat "That's it?" She said "How would I know, I'm a CAT, I don't read English you goof!" However, after she watched me roll my eyes for the fifth or sixth time, she really didn't care an longer. Like I said, not quite the "Page Turner" as the beginning of this clever series. I recommend you DO NOT READ THE DUST COVERS, AS THEY CONTAIN A FEW, ALBEIT, SMALL SPOILERS. One actually was actually a rather significant spoiler and I'd tell you which number, if I remembered. So, try and resist. Otherwise, Lucky Lindsay and San Francisco await their next gruesome and/or heinous crimes and frankly, I'm looking forward to them, because, by comparison, The 12th of Never was a disappointment. Again, don't get me wrong, I have a Kindle and will preorder #13 as soon as I see it. I may be disappointed, but not ALL THE DARTS FIT IN THE BULLSEYE! (You like that? I just made that up off the top of my head! :DRead full review
