    Great speaker/microphone for the money.

    Definitely worth the step up from the cheap Baofeng speaker/mics. Solid looks, feel and performance. Good audio in both directions/ The 3.5mm TRS earphone jack is a nice feature.

    Good sound, ok build quality

    I bought this speaker mic to use for my Baofeng UV-5R. I'm pretty happy with it, but there are a few things that could be improved. The speaker quality is decent, maybe slightly better than the internal speaker on the UV-5R, but the mic quality is quite a bit better than the internal mic. It's much clearer, has more gain, and doesn't pick up pops or puffs as you speak as compared to the internal mic. The build quality isn't the best though. The plastic feels pretty cheap and easy to break and the minute I took it out of the box the locking mechanism for the shoulder clip broke off. It still works with a friction fit, but kinda disappointing nonetheless. Also after just a few minutes of use, the PTT button stopped functioning. I opened it up to find that one of the wires had come loose ...

    If you are looking for an external speaker/ mic, for your tyt 380, look no further ! Sound reproduction through speaker is great, as well as audio through microphone ! With no dreaded motor boating on DMR ! I have purchased several speaker / mic's, only to be sorely disappointed ! This speaker /mic Works and sounds great ! You won't be disappointed , when using with TYT 380 DMR handhelds.
