After losing all the speeds other than high on my AC I replaced the resistor and found the fan motor was really tight. I looked for one with a good price and took the chance, I'm glad I did! Check polarity on the connector, mine was reversed
After installing, the blower would run fine, but very little air coming out of the vents. I thought the problem was with my truck. After chasing my tail for two hours, I pulled the blower out again and discovered the wires on the connector were reversed causing the fan to turn reverse direction. Switched the wires on the connector and now I have lots of air. Not sure how often this happens, but something to look out for.
