In this update of Washington Irving's classic tale, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) wakes up in the 21st century but finds his 18th-century nemesis, the Headless Horseman, has also come along for the ride. After a local sheriff (Clancy Brown) is killed, Crane teams up with Det. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) to sort out the mystery and its historical implications, though her supervisor, Capt. Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) is skeptical of all the supernatural shenanigans. The Apex
I had always been mildly interested in this show, but can never catch it when it originally airs. I was very pleased with the plot (which I won't ruin for you) and picture quality of this blu ray. Plus, it includes the Spanish audio which is a huge plus in my house, so we can all watch together. I expected something similar to "Once Upon a Time" with a legendary book character come to life in modern times theme, but was pleasantly surprised to see them take a completely different angle. It is well written, well acted, witty, and suspenseful. You will definitely fall in love with these characters. The bad news is the series takes a sharp nose dive after season one. I caught all of season 2 and a few episodes of season three, and I have extremely, extremely disappointed with the go-nowhere storylines and cliche motifs. But at this point I'm too invested to stop watching ;-) Hollywood could really learn a thing or two from telenovellas: tell one story, tell it well, then end it.

Superb with great storyline.
This is a great series dealing with Ichabod and the Headless Horseman in modern times. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in this genre. It has a great storyline and it is very entertaining.

Fun and Engaging
Another great "what if" story about the American Revolution set against the backdrop of the Sleep Hallow story. Ichabod Crane wakes up in our time and with the help of a police officer he meets, battles supernatural forces that apparently were also battled by our founding fathers. Great Entertainment and moves along briskly.
