Vine's Expository Dictionary meets the needs of pastors, Bible students, SS teachers and seekers.
I have placed in the hands of my student over 200 volumes of Vine's. It is the layman's door to understanding the Greek without learning Greek. I also has some Hebrew definitions also. I would recommend it to any one wanting to dig deeper into the Word of God. You simply do not have to be a scholar.

Will never own another. Very disappointed
I had a Vines dictionary concordance from back in the 90s and it was incredible but got destroyed in a wildfire. So I bought this with the hope that it would be as good as the one that got destroyed. I was Very Wrong and extremely disappointed. It lies when claiming to have every word in which it doesn't. Don't claim to be something that your not. I DO NOT RECOMEND FOR STUDYING THE SCRIPTURES ! it is simply mans idea topic lessons. Not the true study of the original Greek language and meanings of the original words. They are following the new Strongs example for being in step with the world. I don't recommend either of these now and I used to be very supportive of them both.

We definitely wanted the Vine's, a replacement for the one we passed on to a family member. We simply did not expect the yellowed pages. Not in the description.

GOOD QUALITY BOOK BUT TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
THIS IS A GOOD QUALITY BOOK BUT IT'S A LITTLE CONFUSING. IT TAKES A WHILE TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE THE DICTIONARY. I WAS HOPING IT'S MORE LIKE A TRADITIONAL DICTIONARY WITH JUST THE MEANING OF THE WORDS AND NOT ALL THE EXTRA TEXT TO GO WITH IT. FOR ME, THE SIMPLER THE DEFINITION, THE BETTER.
