Condition:
The install is a bit fussy as the plastic end pieces they mount to are slippery and have an odd angle, so they are not easy to hold on to. This is solved by cutting small pieces of 3M Auto Advanced Super Strength Molding Tape (strong 1/2" double sided adhesive tape) in a U-shape around the screw holes, putting the casters in place, then drilling and attaching the casters with screws.

I thought it would be a little more of a workout. the sliding seat makes no sense, never seen a boat seat move. the way I use it the seat stays back anyway unless u want to do upper & lower back, not bad. I mainly wanted to do my upper body to get the aches & pain motivated in the am. it does it just in a clunky way. Easy assembly but squeaks during use
Instructions are easy to follow regarding assembly, use, and even "warm up exercises" prior to use. What wasn't explained was why it squeaked with every rowing motion. I found that if I applied a light "dressing" of silicone gel (I used "sil-glyde") to the track that the seat rides on stopped the squeak immediately. Great workout
This works really well for me. The only problem I have that others have posted is your feet will fall out of the foot brackets. I bought a 4 inch pvc cap and cut it in half and screwed it to the bottom of the brackets and problem solved. Have been using this twice a day since it arrived and I’m loving it. I started on a low tension setting so I’m looking forward to increasing that as well as my session duration (and therefore calories burned!) over time. Excellent low priced rowing machine
Frankly I was surprised at the quality of the SBTG 1050, and ever so happy with it. Great tork, works like a real rowing mechanism - it's like rowing a real boat rather than just pulling on a wired line. Much more flexibility. I put it in front of the TV and work out for 20 minutes or more, then put it away in my closet. Excellent value.
