Turn it up!!!
Very nice stereo receiver. I needed a way to stream sound from my PC, laptop, and other devices so I could have big sound. Was looking for a unit like this one that has many channels and good power. So far so good. The unit sounds great and looks good too. Out of the box the sound is somewhat flat, so I'm using my PCs app equalizer to make the sound better. Also the unit does not have Bluetooth so I added a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter so I can connect my phone. Works great. Thanks guys!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not happy

Unique and perfect match for multi-room stereo systems.
Great value and ideal way to manage stereo multi-room setups with A-B-C-D hookups in any combination or A-AB-B and C-CD-D in the unique dual zone mode playing 2 different inputs simultaneously in 2 areas of the house. Plenty of power and a magnetic phono input that is hard to find now days.. Great low cost unit for 4 zones.
I bought a house with pre-existing speakers and could only find units that handled 2 zones or more for over $300. I searched and searched and this Sherwood kept coming up. Sound is great. Gets super loud with low distortion on my speakers. Plays four zones all at once or pick separately. Wish it had optical in so I can hook to my tv. Will update review for reliability. Dam good Analog sound
Great Old School receiver. Replacing a Marantz ST-60 with wore out input switches. Needed a phono and tape inputs to go with my Blue ray to drive my vintage Allegro speakers. Added a powered sub woofer to have 2.1 sound for movies. Not really a home theater unit as it does not have separate interdependent control front and center channels for surround sound. I works for me.

four zone is awsome, but its old school
I wanted an amp with zone control. This fit the bill perfectly. I added a bluetooth receiver ($12.00 on ebay) to bring it up to speed. Now I play music through my phone, iPad and Music choice through my cable box. Lack of digital input was not a factor. The remote works nice and I can use my Samsung phone to control it as well. Simple, easy to use, It is everything I needed and nothing more. Interesting that arent many left, It took a while to find one that was reasonably priced.
