Leupold VX-Freedom 6-18x 30mm CDS very well featured
This is a great value and its features excellent for the money. It not only has updated benefits over the comparable VX-2 6-18x 1" such as side focus (AO) and a 30mm tube but the CDS version gets you the free custom dial for your favorite ammo type right down to elevation and temperature where you shoot. The new tri MOA reticle is also very cool and not a gimmick. I spend significant time behind a scope on some trips, this is a very nice upgrade for basically the same price as the last model. The only thing I don't like is the name, VX-Freedom and the etching of the labeling/marking on the scope with the premium models having nicer etching, but that is very minor. Again, excellent overall for the price. I have another low power VX-Freedom (1.5-4x) and it is also a very good scope. Leupold lifetime warranty applies to this line as well, but like my other Leupolds, none have ever needed any service. Minor complaint, it doesn't come with any scope covers, it should for that price range but easy to address.
