    HAPPY BUYER!!

    This was a very good purchase--even though the expiration date had pasted, the cartridge had not been opened so I figured I had a good chance of the product still being usable. It arrived quickly and after installing it on my printer, I am very happy with this purchase. It works perfectly. I had tried several office supply stores and not one of them offered any discount on printer ink. I saved a lot by giving this a try.

    Old 2012 HP 78XL ink cartridges still work

    Purchase four cartridges and have used one so far. It did not work right out of the box. Soaked the head for a while and eventually after some coaxing, the ink came out and prints fine. Good value compared to store price ($7.00 vs $70.00 per cartridge). If your willing to take the chance that the cartridges will eventually work, then it might be a good deal for you. It was for me. The cartridges were new but I took a few points off from "Quality" as they were a bit dry and did not work out of the box.

    HP78XL Color Ink Cartridge - recently expired warranty.

    Genuine HP 78XL Tri-Color Ink Cartridge C6578AN new in sealed box. These factory ink cartridges can be a money saver. I try to buy ones that are no more 4 years past their warranty expiration. If the ink dries in the nozzles, some glass cleaner usually is enough to soften and dissolve it. Sometimes I've had to knock the top plugs into the cartridge, and inject additional ink into the ink sponges, to make up for years of evaporation. I've only seen ONE cartridge where the factory vinyl seal came slightly loose inside the sealed box, and allowed the 3 colors to intermix and leak inside the box slightly. Don't trust cartridges that aren't in factory sealed boxes.
