    Good on icy, snow covered walkways

    This is my second set of yaktrax. I find a set lasts 2 to 3 seasons here in northern Minnesota. Without them I’d not be able to walk the dog on the drive or roadways. They are easy to put on and off, work very well, but do have e a couple limitations of which to be aware. First do NOT wear then in the house or on hard, dry pavement. They will scratch floors and catch in carpet. On dry pavement they actually reduce your traction. Also, be sure to take them off if driving. It’s tempting to put them on to get to the car and then just drive but they can interfere with the pedals. They are great of their intended use, casual walks on slippery surfaces. They are not for extreme winter activities : they are not a replacement for crampons. Use them as intended and you’ll not regret the purchase! ...

    Great on the snow and ice. Feel more sure footed.

    These are great on snow and Ice, but just be aware, if you use them to go to the mall or whatever, you need to remove them before walking on the tile. I bought these for my sisiter who has a hard time bending over to remove them, so they are great while on ice, but she needs to sit down before going into a mall or her house to take them off. They are too slippery on linoleum or tile. If you are going to several places in one day, this will require a lot of removing and putting back on which might be a problem for some people. Overall great for what they are made for.
