    Lightweight and some not so great features.

    While this grinder has a few pros going for it such as being quite compact, easy to use and easy to clean nice features if all you need it for is to grind sausage However I find this model to have a few cons against it as well . 1. True # 12 { 2 3/4 " } grinding plates will not fit this machine as it takes a smaller plate that so far have proven impossible to find so you are restricted to the only 2 that come with it. It would be nice to have a couple different sizes like an extra coarse or fine plate. 2. The stuffing tube is ridiculously too short and too flared. And mine was missing two rubber foot pads .

    A pretty good grinder for the money, but no aftermarket parts availability.

    This grinder works well, and has enough horsepower to not bog down during the grinding operation. Three things to be aware of: 1) This grinder DOES NOT accept standard #12 size plates and cutting blades. The only source for spares appears to be the manufacturer, and they are currently not in stock. This also limits the plate hole size to the 2 sizes that Weston provides. 2) The grinder head lock lever seemed to vibrate loose a couple times, but this may have been due to my friend who was operating the grinder hadn't got the grinding head completely into the socket. This was a minor issue, and we took care of it by periodically checking the locking lever. 3) Take the time before using to sharpen the cutting blade/knife and the grinding plates. I use a lapping plate and fine sandpaper. The ...

    Great product

    Have used it 3 times so far, but it is a quality product. I use to grind chicken thighs, some with bones for making cat food. Cleans up nicely. I researched a united a bit and believe I made a good choice without paying $400 and more.

    Lever holding shoot does not stay locked..

    While grinding meat, the lever that holds the grinding things came loose and I didn't notice.. I had to take it apart and clean it.. After that, the lever needs to be held to stay in the locked position.. Very inconvenient..
