So So but does the job

Well these things do not sinc heat the way I think they could. Others clamp to the back of the panel and are both water tight and fan free but these do the job and are less expensive so I guess you get what yo pay for. Hate that the fan runs any time power generation is above about 300 watts

Overrated -- OK At Half the Rated Power

I would not use this at more than HALF the rated power, which is why I knocked off the stars. At half rated power, the fan was running and the cooling fins were hot. I measured efficiency and found it adequate for something at this cost. Can't remember exactly, but think it was around 85%. This one has more indicator-LEDs compared to competing models, which I like. I have used it for about a year and it is still working.

  • Works but you get what you pay for.

Seems to be functioning as it should. Except the fans run almost constant. Only have 300 watts of solar panels hooked up to it so far. Not sure if it will hold more. Not sure how long the fans will last. Seems like a good beginners buy though. If/ when it goes out I will probably buy something more expensive/ better quality.

  • Actual output

This inverter only puts out 500 watts..... don't get me wrong, it works flawlessly it is just advertised at its surge capabilities. Keep that in mind when you are sizing your system. I'll be buying another when I get my next 3 panels.

  • works great but needed better info

it worked fine but info did not tel me it needed a 220 line to plug it in and there is a minimum dc volt between 20 to 45 and my one panel puts out 35 dc volt but it does work with one panel had to use another inverter to run the others

  • need repair manuel

one blinked , then went out, two others stopped working, first one must have been defective on delivery, the other two maybe were run to high, so the units must be run well under rated wattage, should have instructions on this

  • So far so good

so far so good I currently only have one panel 250 Watts but I'm planning to add another 250 watt panel just so that I can break even, don't want to feed back to the grid

  • survey

these inverters are over rated, it would be nice if you could actually go up to 1000 watts. I have found that 600 watts is about as far as you can go without a burnout.

  • Good but not very good. Average grade kind of grid tie inverter.

I connected this power grid tie inverter 1000W to 2- 24V , 300W , 60 cells solar panels in parallel, under full sun at mid day, my meter shown 300W output. Later in the day, it will drop to 140W.
