    Opens "Office" documents well. Easy to learn characteristics

    Pages of Iworks opens "Word" documents as well as any other office product. What I did like was the color rendering of a picture I sent to my color laserjet was clearer and better color than I could get in Word. Transition to this product is easy. Was able to open a word document and manipulate it with ease.

    Flow Text Easily

    Most of my work tends to be page layout, as in newsletter. So I often copy text from a WP document and paste it into text frames. If I have frames on multiple pages I want the text to flow from one to the other, even on different pages. The newest version of Pages does not allow that. This version does. This version also, for me at least, allows much easier placement of pictures and graphics. Very intuitive. The newer version not so much. If you like MS Word, the newer version is probably for you. If you like Pagemaker, this older version is better. I bought this just for Pages; can't speak to any differences in Numbers or Keynote.
