Every Home Should Have One!
Compact, light and portable aren't words normally associated with a tube amp, bit this one is. Of course it's only 1 watt, but don't let that fool you - it's surprisingly loud if you want it to be, yet you can achieve a good overdriven sound at ear-friendly levels. The optional footswitch makes it even better - you can switch voices, and also change channels from clean to distortion, all on the fly. The reverb is excellent, and of course it has the famous Blackstar sound. The only thing stopping it being even better is the small size of the speaker, but it's a mini amp so that can't be helped - however, there is an output for an extension speaker, and I wold think it would be awesome plugged into a PA (it has cabinet emulation for that). Really they've thought of everything - it punches above it's weight, and yes, IMHO every home should have one!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Superb amp
The Blackstar Ht1r Mk11 is a fantastic piece of kit. Huge improvement on the first generation. It has beautiful clean tones and the drive channel just shouldn't be as great in a 1 watt amp, but it is. I've tried it with a variety of guitars along with my Michael Messer resonator with MM pickup, it is superb clean and with a bit of dirt. Think Seasick Steve. Quality piece of kit
Excellent build quality, brilliant sound. Separate tone controls would be better but "ISF" works OK. Only niggle is the OD and Voice buttons are too close to the rotary controls which makes it easy to nudge them accidentally. Encouragement to buy a footswitch I guess!
