    Classic crime drama

    A very good film noir about the early crime syndicates surrounding crime boss Lepke. The main focus was on Peter Falk (first film) who was excellent as the hit man. All the other stars acted very good as well. Interesting story based on true events. Recommended watching.

    Gangsters started before the end of the 18th Century. Early 19th Hundred when many gangsters formed themselves. When Prohibition started it escalated violations and then there were many extortions, rackets, gambling. Many people died to take over other people's trades.
