    good product for professional

Product itself hard to work with. Does not adhere to near vertical surfaces as expected. If brush is used to apply product does not spread evenly on rough surfaces. Seems to skip over smooth surfaces. All surfaces were clean and prepared before treating. Even with these deficiencies in product tested we would recommend Flex Seal (with notations) for most uses.

A solution with promise---only time will tell.

Used it on water fountain, door jam and canopy facing direct sun in afternoon. Only time will tell on quality, but hoping it lasts longer than spar varnish or spar polyurethane. They only last 3 mos. Will be able to recommend in six months if it holds up. At that time will be able to determine it's value and it's quality, but not before.

  • Clear Flex Seal in a Can - Excellent for protecting ground touching parts of wooden, outdoor furniture

I recently purchased some very expensive, wood, outdoor, Adirondack chairs. After sanding them and painting them, I wanted to protect the four leg ends on each chair, that would be touching the ground. I had never purchased Flex Seal in a can before, but the description fit exactly what I needed - that is, a clear, rubberized coating that I could paint onto the leg ends of my wood, Adirondack chairs. I bought a few 97 cent 3/4" paint brushes and applied two coats of the clear, Flex Seal liquid to the already painted leg ends of my wood, Adirondack chairs. The Flex Seal seems to adhere properly to the chair leg ends and this rubberized coating is exactly what I wanted. I could have used automotive, rubberized bed coating, but that was way too expensive and they didn't have clear. Also, I could not find a single varnish in any hardware store that would adhere properly to wood that had already been painted. The proof in the pudding will be this coming summer. If the clear, Flex Seal liquid rubber coating stays on the bottom of my wood, Adirondack chair leg ends, and doesn't just slough off, then I will have gotten what I was looking for. The product is easy to apply with a cheap brush (product is NOT water based) - so brush is a throwaway). The product, after application with a brush, levels very well to a smooth surface. If the surface you're applying the clear, Flex Seal liquid is not level, it will run - so use blue painter's tape to mask off any area to catch any runs.

  • Worth the price if repair is needed over replacement.

Used it for an old metal tub that developed a rust hole. Previously used the spray version and it lasted a good amount of time until it eventually peeled up. Hoping the liquid version will be better. After prep it easily brushed on without issue. The product is a good one. Follow instructions for a longer lasting application. 4 of 5 stars because it's yet to be determined if it peels.

  • Flex Seal , Oh my Sole!

I've been making a boot for a neighborhood cat with a deformed rear leg for several years. The boot has continually evolved trying to find the right combination of materials to construct a durable, lightweight protective boot. I found Flex Seal Liquid is the best for creating a sole that is firm, waterproof and durable to protect kitty's leg! Great product!

  • Works as Advertised

When I see TV advertisements on a product I haven't used, I am skeptical. When I applied this magic sealant on a plastic tank crack, I was amazed at how quickly it dried and patched the leak perfectly. I will always keep a can of Flex Seal around for permanent repairs.

  • Strong seal.

Depends on what you are using it for. I was using it to repair my shoes, it did a good job but the can was had to reseal and it dryed out on me.

  • Great Product

This product does everything the ads say it will do. I used it on the rooftop trap door of my well house to give it an all weather protective seal instead of shingles. Also painted a wooden shelf above my kitchen sink for rubberized protection from water spray, which was beginning to decay the wood.

  • I used this flex seal to line a birdbath that’s had a crack in it. Worked perfectly. Holds water now!

Brushes on easily. I used 2 coats for full coverage on the bottom and sides of my birdbath. No more leaks.

  • Great waterproofing solution

My stainless steel kitchen sink has several tiny holes. I treated the entire underside of the sink with Flex Seal. Now it's 100% watertight. Cleanup is a little involved; brushes/rollers require mineral spirits. The contents of the can will cover quite a lot.
