In addition to these, the progressive scan Blu-ray player also supports DVD-R dual-layer, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and picture CD formats. The Magnavox Blu-ray player upconverts the videos on the aforementioned discs to 720p, 1080p, or 1080i HDTV formats. A standard remote control handles the Magnavox NB500MG9, and its on-screen display supports French and English. For user convenience, the player also features parental control capability. The outputs on the progressive scan Blu-ray player include composite, component, analog audio, HDMI, digital audio coaxial, and SPDIF. This elegant black Blu-ray player is a stylish complement for any home theater system. I thought it was a very good value to replace the same unit that I already had that stopped working, The only issue was actually my fault as the unit did not come with a remote, but after going back and checking the original post it does not say a remote is included and no remote is pictured. Luckily the remote from my old unit works just fine with the new unit.
