    A real N 95 mask

    I bought 10 of these masks because of the spread of the delta variant of COVID. They are durable enough to wear for several days but the strap broke after a few days on the first mask I wore; since these were intended for one time use in occupational settings, I didn't consider that a drawback and hopefully the rest will also allow several wearings. Each mask was packaged in a ziplock bag and they don't expire for 5 years. I did not want to buy an entire box so ordering them individually is a nice option. Since KN 95 masks are made in China I prefer to avoid them.

    Impossible to wear: foul odor and straps too short

    Sadly, these N95 masks are not useful. The elastic straps are EXTREMELY tight and it seems unlikely that any adult could get them around their head. They do stretch over time but not enough to ever be comfortable. The straps likely wouldn't work for a child either as the face mask would be too large for a child. The face mask has a peculiar odor that permeates your nose and mouth and continues to linger the entire time you wear the mask.

    Work well, although uncomfortable, but be careful not to dent the front!

    These do the job of providing a good seal. The two back-of-head straps hold them on securely, and if you fit them according to instructions provided, they don't leak. They also are good at keeping glasses from getting steamed up. The one problem is that the front of the mask projects outward, to leave room inside for your nose and lips. However, there is only very little room for clearance here, and if the front gets dented inward the least little bit, then the mask will end up in your mouth every time you take a breath. This can also occur just because of the humidity created inside the mask when you breathe. This might be less of a problem for a person with a small face, but 3M should offer a slightly larger size for the average person. You have to be very careful not to let the ...

    The real deal, but these seem a bit smaller and straps are not very elastic

    I checked the product at 3M's Safe Guard website, and it said the Secure Code and Lot Code were valid. However, I had other 8210s and they are bigger and the straps more elastic. These seem to not return to their original shape. The mas feels a smaller, however, I can still get a good fit for my face (average male size). Not sure if it would fit others.

    Appears to be the "Real McCoy"

    This respirator mask appears to be the genuine pre-COVID-19 Model 8210. There are two differences: 1) It's not identified as "8210 Plus"; merely "8210". 2) the two head straps are pure, smooth yellow-colored elastomer; the original 8210 Plus respirator had yellow-colored woven elastomeric fiber head straps of six rib construction. If there's any deficiency in the current model it will be in the durability of the revised head straps. But so far, so good !
