Thicker, Better.
These Gold Toe socks are thicker than either "big name brand" - FOTL or H. There's more material per sock. These will last longer, survive washing, keep their elasticity. The only drawback I've had with these is that the upper part of the sock reaches too far up my lower leg. If I move them lower they look like slouch socks. I find all new socks to be itchy. As always I put these through the washer and dryer 3 times. Then I read online to soak socks in 3 cups vinegar and water which I did in a basin. Took them wet and put into washer and added a box of baking soda, no soap-washed and dried. They are perfect now.
