I've only used it through headphones so far, so I don't know how it will sound plugged into an amp. It's just for me to practice without waking up the neighborhood. Only thing I don't like about the unit so far is there is no bypass. You can't play through it on a pedal board, because there is no way to bypass the unit. That is why I have not used it through an amp. I'd have to use the P.M. and only the P.M. and not be able to use the rest of my effects!!
