    An Excellent buy in a full-featured professional camcorder

    I was very pleased with the purchase of this used, and slightly vintage, Sony professional camcorder. This camera is in the Sony product line which they named DVCAM. The product line slightly preceded the latest high definition line of products. DVCAM was a digital technology video camera using SD tapes, but producing an image of 1080 lines, interlaced. The high resolution and full professional features makes the camera still viable for professional level high quality video production.

    Great image quality, well worth buying one.

    This is a great camera to use for semi-professional work, or for the hobbyist. The picture quality is amazing, and it has a dazzling array of features. IF you are still recording on a tape base format, then this is the pony to bet on. Be careful about purchasing used model. Ensure that the mechanism is in good condition, otherwise the repair bill may be high. All in all, this is a high quality unit.

    The old technology still holds up.

    Initially I bought this camera to teach my daughter how to use a real prosumer camera and not her iPhone. Well, she wasn't interested but I have fallen in love with this camera. It produces an HD image, and when you set it to manual, you can really get the best out of it. The controls are well-placed and easy to manipulate once you get the hang of it. As for the tapes, well, they are outdated but you can't complain knowing what you are getting. They do make devices that hook up to the firewire port and record onto a hard drive. If you are looking for an inexpensive prosumer camera before you spend the big bucks, I would recommend this camera.

    My Sony Pro

    This is a great used camera. Great for my startup film production, "Wayout There Productionz". This is one of several Sony film cameras but one of the top ones that will be used. It has every feature we are looking for and yet because of it's age, we expect to get many shots with this bad boy and last a long time. What a great buy!

    Very happy with the quality and shipping time!

    The camera came as shown in the various pictures accompanying the sale information. That means there was no power supply or strap (neither of which is an issue for me, as I purchased this camera as a replacement and already have those accessories). The case is strong and is a roller - perfect for traveling! Also, this item arrived two days after I place my order, which is better than I expected. Thank you!
