A great deal of bubble wrap and paper wadded around them, and the box a perfect size so no room for slipping around in transit. I was impressed. Cost of items were extremely fair, shipping was more than the items but that's all shipping nowadays and this was 6 large plates so not in any way lightweight! Can't speak to communication as I didn't have any questions. Would buy again!
