    This book and this seller are the BEST

    I have to tell you this is a fantastic book and to add to this although it was a used book you would never know it. It is perfect and given as a gift. I can't say enough about the seller or the book. Both are TOPS in my book. : )It was a Christmas gift and they loved it. Terribly interesting and it keeps you amazed at all you never realized. This encyclopaedia focuses on the applied science of the Ancient World. Those ancient inventions with a modern sound include: plastic surgery performed in India in the 1st century BC, Aztec chewing gum, ancient mechanical machines, ancient banknotes and ancient earthquake detectors! Let me give you some examples of ancient tech: You leave your seventh-floor apartment, curse the congested traffic that delays you, and stop at a fast-food restaurant on your way to have cataract surgery. Where do you live? Actually you live in Rome in 25AD! Ancient Rome tech! Not just inventions from ancient Greece, Rome and ancient Egypt,inventions from all over the world ...

    Very interesting reading on the ancient inventions. Objects that we thought the newly invented were actually in use in ancient times. Organized thematically, it captures the reader's interest with a comprehensive reading and enjoyable. Highly recommended for those interested in the technical and historical.
