This is exactly what I was looking for!! My Kitchenaid mixer is almost 40 years old and it still runs like it was brand new. So when one of my children wanted to upgrade from a handheld mixer I suggested investing in a Kitchenaid. I bought this as their Christmas present and know it will serve them well for many years to come. Wasn’t really looking for the Artisan line of mixers, which have a little bit smaller footprint on the countertop. The Deluxe line is older and they are work horses! It can handle dough for 3 loaves of bread, double batches of cookie dough and large batches of cake batter and icing. So, I’m ‘paying it forward’ to the next generation of bakers in the family!

This model is still new to me, but is easy to use and pretty intuitive, especially since I had a much larger one before. I have no idea how well it will hold up, but my old one put in 15 years or so of hard labor. My expectation is that it will last me as long as I need such a device.
