Classic David (small rink owner) and Goliath (Big Money Developer) set in a small town with two young people trying to make their way in the world while staying grounded in the sport they share and love. A bit of a departure from the original Slap Shot but just as entertaining. Nice to see the Hanson Brothers too.

Sort of campy in a "Meatballs" kind of way but not nearly as "oh gee, let's make a sequel" bad, as Slapshot 2. The Hansons throw a curve at you that gets a bit old after a bit, but it recovers itself. Over-all. If you've got the first one, this one's worth a look. If you have the first two, you should complete the set. If you don't have a clue about the first one, WHY are you considering THIS one first?
good for middle age children exciting always to see the underdogs to come back to win the championship. But its always the anticaption of what it takes to get there.
The movie is okay but nothing like the first, if not for Liesle Neilson and the Hanson brother it would be a waste of time. Funny, but not a strong contender in comedy.
The movie has a very weak and very predictable plot and is a poorly made ripoff of the original movie.
THE 3RD SLAPSHOT WAS FUNNY IS THERE SLAPSHOTS OUT LIKE A 4RTHTHEY SHOULD MAKE AS MANY AS THEY CAN THEY SHOULD USE REAL HOCKEY PLAYERS
