    Excellent flatwounds at a reasonable price

    I use these on both a Fender Precision and an Ibanez AEB-10 acoustic bass guitar. Very smooth, even response, great playability and clear, round tone. The Ibanez is a totally new instrument with "electric" flats on it vs the stock phosphor bronze strings (which to me make them all sound too "twangy". I play jazz, soul, R&B, pop, funk, Latin and a bunch of other styles and own several basses, using roundwounds on most. But for that old school tone, I love flats (and get compliments every time I play out or record with them) After 40+ years of professional playing I am reverting back to my roots with D'Addario strings, and these Chromes are great strings and a great value. Highly recommended.

    for a change u can trust these!

    I put Daddario flex steels on all my basses,but I have been listening to old mo-town bass players and at least wanted to get a little close to that sound...although subjective, they sound beautiful...and way to fn easy to play...bifray (remember some gauges are not all the same transfer from roundwounds0!

    Better than I expected them to be

    After mounting the strings on my bass and amping up I was pleasantly surprised. These strings, besides being smoother on the fingers and my frets, are waaaayyyy better sounding than I thought they'd be. My only wish is that I had bought these and started using them sooner!
