This is an overall great camera but I did have a few complaints...the menu structure is a little clunky as in how you have to 'confirm' that the action you would like to activate is the one that you do actually want to activate. I also don't rally like to smile detection feature when you would just like to take a picture that doesn't have any person in it. I just can't seem to get teh camera features to work like I would like them to. Other than those things, the camera is great.
I like the small compact, if not rugged design. I like how the lens cover slides up and down, which turns the camera off and on. I like how the camera is small enough to fit in any pocket and has no protruding or moving lens housing sticking out like most cameras. And I really like how it has only 4 buttons (power, view mode, zoom, shutter) on the outside. Then it has a touch screen display with picture buttons with descriptive text which I find very intuitive and easier to use to select special features and functions. No more pressing buttons accidentally when handling this camera. No more referring to the manual to remember which button does what. And no more scrolling through heirarchial menus and viewing/zooming pictures using directional buttons. I also got the docking station, which is really nice to be able to review pictures on a TV. Just drop the camera in the slot and it does the rest. It also charges the camera without having to take the battery out. It is only for viewing, but you can delete bad pictures just by hitting the delete button displayed on the camera screen while it is in the docking station. You do have to take it out of the station to perform editing like red-eye reduction, which also works great. The only downside is that the camera body is so thin and the lens is so close to the edge where you hold it that it is harder to keep your finger and hand out of the picture unless you hold it just right and you can't really get a good grip on it, which takes getting used to in order to hold the camera still to take a picture while holding it by the edges. Other nice features are that it has 5x zoom, image stabilization, and macro mode for close (less than an inch) focusing. It has an easy mode setting which takes near perfect indoor pictures under various lighting. I really like that. No more yellow pictures under incandescent lighting without fumbling with white balance and other color anamoly corrections. Overall it appears to have much longer battery life and is simpler to use and carry than the big DSC-H5 that I've been using. Picture quality appears to be excellent. I think I like it even better than the H5, except for serious stationary pictures where the H5 handgrips and 12x zoom comes in handy. I don't see how anyone could be more disappointed than not with the T300. It is pricy but the zoom, stabilization, and macro capability of this camera is well worth the additional cost over less capable models. I would highly recommend this camera for its portabilty and capability. Its small size is the only drawback I see, but that's also one of my favorite features, and it just takes a little getting used to, for me especially, since I've been using a very large camera, this one is suprisingly small, but i like it even more than I thought I would.Read full review

i saw this camera on the sony website and it really caught my attention because of its sleek design and features. the touch screen is awsome, easy to navigate and understand. the screen menu says it all and the 10.1 megapixel is great especially when taking beautiful scennery which i am into. you can also edit picture directly from the camera which makes this camera one of kind. the point and shoot features is very convenient for taking quick pictures no need to adjust and all. overall, its the camera for people like me whose on the go.
Despite being bias to Sony, I did a lot of research before I purchased this camera and for the price this product has the best features not to to mention a sleek stylish look. The touch screen is great and easy to use, no false touches like you get with some. the pictures are great, the steady shot works very well, and the auto balance gets the color right just about every time.
