I have used Rada knives for years and love them. The sharpener is great and easy to use. I keep it in my knife drawer and I use it regularly to keep a sharp edge on all of my knives.

I have used Rada knives for *decades* - all my life, because my aunts and grandmother would buy them from church fundraisers. But this one is THE KNIFE. I'm only buying a second one because I'm fearful I might not be able to find another if something happens to the one I use every single day. If I could only have one knife for the rest of my life on a desert island, this baby is coming with me! It accepts and edge and keeps it well for me, it's affordable by virtually anyone, it is lightweight with a good sized handle so you can work long hours & not tire, and the blade is long enough to do more than just pare. There is just no flaw in this knife. Seriously, I have packed this knife to travel, near or far, car or plane, if I knew I would be cooking at someone else's house because I ... Very good, U.S. made knives.
We've used these simple, very fine knives for many years. Easy to sharpen, lightweight, and a decent fit for small to medium sized hands, they are our go-to cutlery. We don't put ANY knives, fancy or otherwise, in the dishwasher. We appreciate that they are American made.

Love Rada knives
I have been buying these type of knives for years, for home use, and for gifts. They will discolor in dishwasher, but if its just family, then thats ok. If you want to keep shiny dont use or wash and dry by hand. They sharpen really well on a steel.
