As some background, I am not in the target audience for this book series, but my kids are...Ha. I'm a 40 something, USAF pilot and I saw the movie long before I bought the book. I really liked the movie, so I figured why bother with the book, it will surely be different than the movie, and perhaps make me think less of the movie. I was surprised to find that although different than the movie in many ways, reading the book didn't change my thoughts about the movie. I've read all the other books in the series before this one, they are all well worth the time. Although, they are such 'page turners' that time isn't a factor in getting through the books. I finished one in the Atlanta and Dallas airports while travel back from a TDY. The book is told from muliple character's points of view. Chapters are in a certain font for a certain character, which is the first time I've seen this method for keeping up with who's speaking in the book. Pretty cool idea. If you saw the movie, I'd recommend giving the book a read...as expected, it definately tells the story more completely. Overall, give it a read.Read full review
