About this product

Product Information

The Samsung Galaxy S III SPH-L710 is a smartphone offered by the Sprint network. This version of the phone has 16GB of internal storage and comes in a pebble blue color. The Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III was among the first phones released in such a color. It was designed by Samsung to compete with Apple’s iPhones, and to offer a smartphone-sized alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III is a stylish product with specs that can still compete with today’s phones. It’s also a great phone for people who want to use the Sprint CDMA service on an affordable flagship. The Sprint Galaxy S III is for you if you need to use the 1xEV-DO CDMA2000 network. As such, these phones do not have conventional 2G or 3G (i.e. HSPA or GSM) but can use Cat 3 LTE (band 25). However, they do have Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n) and NFC, as do many other high-end phones. The Sprint Galaxy S III also has a Bluetooth version 4.0 with A2DP, EDR and aptX, as well as A-GPS. You can enjoy all these features using the phone’s 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen. This has a resolution of 1280 by 720, and lives up to Samsung’s reputation of reproducing clear images with vibrant, saturated colors. The Sprint Galaxy S III’s internals as above are housed in a glossy, attractively rounded-off chassis similar to that of the Galaxy Note 3’s, set off with a stylish royal blue color. It incorporates a removable back cover, under which the battery, (also user-swappable) SIM slot, and SD card reader can be found. The SD card reader is compatible with cards of up to 64GB in capacity, which complemented the smartphone’s 16GB fixed memory capacity nicely. This ROM is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Plus chipset, a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, and 2 gigabytes of RAM. The Sprint Galaxy S III also features the familiar Samsung home and capacitive button layouts, also found on other Samsung flagship phones such as the Galaxy S4 and S5. The Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III runs Android, (up to v4.3 or Jelly Bean

great phone, old school with new school capabilities

Other than the battery life, even with buying a new battery, the phone is awesome! I've seen a lot of reviews saying that the phone is sluggish..outdated software...blah blah, and you can't use new apps...not true at all. I have downloaded everything that I had on my Samsung J3 and it works WAY better. I was even able to download apps that I couldn't on the J3 2016 model. Don't be fooled by those just trying to get you to keep on buying phones. the camera is still decent and I'm not really into social media on my phone, however I do play games and they work great!. I'm planning on staying with my S3 as long as I can. I missed it so; My last one back in 2013 was in an unfortunate accident and I just went with what I was told and 'upgraded' over and over. Out of all of the Samsung ...

    Product issues

I'm not really happy quality wise. The phone has pink spots on the screen and the car charger drains the battery.

  • Bottom line, the phone is great but still a little pricey.

this is a great phone with a lot of features. if you like electronics and discovering new things to do, this is the phone for you. two drawbacks to the phone are that the price is comparable to that of purchasing a new laptop (even eBay sellers don't want to cut a deal and some of the phones are used) and that although it has a good amount of storage, unlike it's predecessor the Galaxy S II, you cannot move your apps to the micro SD card...major letdown if you ask me. Other than that the phone is amazing. you can always expand your memory up to a 64GB micro SD for music, movies, docs, videos, etc...just not apps. Hope you enjoy!!! looking forward to Samsung's next big thing! ;-)

  • Fully Featured Google Smartphone. Awesome value, Who needs Apple?

I love this phone! The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a terrific interface for an Android device. I love the clickable center button on the bottom to perform task manager type functions or access S Voice, which is a "Siri" like application. The Navigation system is completely integrated with Google Maps, so if you are like me and use google maps a lot, This phone will help a lot on trips. It is really big, but incredibly thin. I am 6'4" with big hands and I found it more comfortable to use with a thick case, like the one offered by Otterbox. It is a light phone for its size. The battery lasts me about 2-3 days as long as I clear the background running apps from time to time. Text messaging is pretty easy due to three ways to compose messages. You can touch keys like a traditional ...

  • Great, do it all device, just keep a charger or xtra battery handy.

Needed a reliable phone that can do it all. The fact this phone can access full web pages and not just the mobile versions is bonus over iphones. This device is Easy to use and has an abundance of great features only complaint, the Battery has a hard time keeping up.
