    It's a matter of your taste for Doris Day films

    I bought the set for 2 movies: Romance on the High Seas & My Dream Is Yours which I like very much. But the other films are not my cup of tea with Doris Day acting out characters that are too hyper-active for my taste. I also enjoy her film, Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson. The price of the set of 6 films is very reasonable.

    Doris and Judy

    Doris Day was born the same year as Judy Garland, but didn't "arrive" as a Hollywood star until 20 years after Judy Garland had arrived. Judy Garland was "used" by Hollywood until they virtually discarded her. Doris Day had the advantage of "arriving" 20 years after the worst abuses of the Hollywood system had run their course, and, not coincidentally, lived 50 years longer than Judy Garland. Judy and Doris, born in the same year, were undoubtedly the two most enormously talented women ever to grace the silver screen. The two of them could do EVERYTHING, and these boxed sets of all their movies prove it.

    wonderful collection of Ms. Day's early movies

    My Mother instilled a love of Doris Day in me when I was very young. Mom passed away a year ago and listening to Doris Day sing and act brings back lots of loving memories of my youth. I love seeing Doris Day when she was young and just starting out. This collection has a nice variety to it and was considerably less expensive than the same product at Barnes and Noble. Also, I received it within 4 days! If you are a Doris Day fan, you will truly enjoy this collection of nostalgic movies from a bygone era.
