Excellent lens!! Keep in mind I am reviewing the better F/3.5 and not the F/4-5.6 lens which, from what I researched, is not supposed to be quite as good... It's perfect for tight places and close up shots where you need to get in as much area as possible. I use it to put together interior shots for real estate listings. It makes the room look bigger! There is a very slight distortion towards the outer edges if focused all the way out to 10mm or close to it, but goes away if the focus is brought in closer to the middle of 14mm or so. IT'S NOT A DEAL BREAKER AT ALL and actually it's a very good picture for how wide the lens will go. The only pet peeve I have, and it's nothing that cannot be overcome easily, is that the lens is bigger in diameter (82mm) than the standard 58mm that normally comes with a Canon EOS rebel, and it focuses in soo close that when doing a shot that needs flash, the lens actually creates a shadow in the shot. I solved this by adding the additional flash as a slave, but hung it underneath and towards the front of the lens so it would light up the bottom of the shot. The camera's built in flash has to be used for the added flash to work in slave mode and the built in flash takes care of the top area of the shot. Beautiful photo's!!!Read full review
Brought this lens for my Canon 7D MII. I also have a Canon 16-35mm f4L IS for my Canon 6D. The Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 works well on the 7D. It is lightweight and well constructed. However, the image quality is not comparable to the Canon 16-35mm f4L. Comparing two identical pictures, taken by the 6D with the Canon lens at 16mm, f8 and by the 7D with the Sigma at 10mm, f8; the Sigma picture is definitely more soft on the edges and has more distortion at the conners. However, I am still very happy with the Sigma lens because (1) it is light weight and (2) it is half as expensive as the Canon lens for the similar function (Canon 16-35mm f4L IS ~ 1K; Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 ~ 0.5K).

To sum up, this is a fantastic lens. It's a little on the big side, and the focus ring is not the smoothest I've ever used, which is really why I didn't feel like I should necessarily give it the full 5 stars... Honestly though, it does deserve more than 4 stars because the image quality is fantastic and overall I love the lens. Great color rendition, great contrast, excellent sharpness in the center of the image, and if you look on DXO Mark it's almost as fast as some of the 2.8 wide angles. I really loved my Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 I had for Nikon, but I feel that the image quality of this lens is a bit better overall.

Works great, just like my last one that has now taken over 75K photos until it started having issues with focus. Quick turn time even though ordered on holliday.

This lens is fantastic. I was extremely impressed by the rock solid build quality and the pictures are very sharp. Sure, there are pro lenses out there that may yield slightly better pictures, but beyond this lens the diminishing returns are subtle and not worth the extra money in my opinion. I am 100% happy with my decision to buy.
