great simplistic arcade action
This is a great game if you like arcade shooters and simple stories. It doesn't have much of a storyline but it has a lot of action. It is repetative in that you will kill wave after wave of the same enemy and you are always in a simple square or octagon arena. The graphics are not great but good enough, the only real problem for me was the humans can be difficult to see among all the enemies and that is pretty important since you need to rescue humans to get more point for extra lives. I won't explain the controls because you can find that in other reviews and descriptions. There are three difficulty levels and the hardest is nearly impossable to complete and the easiest I finished with a lot of extra live remaining. There are ten levels of speed as well so you can do it at your pace, ... This is a great game if you like arcade shooters and simple stories. would be nice if it also had the original. the original arcade was so cool i plan to buy one this year. There are several different view angles to choose for the nintendo 64 version. On the original arcade you only had a top view also known as an overview. the n64 version is also missing the cool sound effects which the original had

great remake of a classic
frantic and wonderful fun, Robotron 64 is a revised version of Robotron 2084 for the Atari... it is an excellant fun shmup game, with interesting controls. The N64 controller lends itself well to this game. This game can be had for a low price and is well worth it.

Nice remake!
I like this game and I also liked the orginal. I think this game is easier to play than the orginal and of course visually more appealling. I like the 3D graphics and the directional fire buttons. I recommend this game to anyone who owns a Nintendo 64.
