This is a more in depth book of the Delay, Don't Deny. Gin Stephens has done so much research and her books lead you to the full studies if you want to "see for yourself," and her explanations of all the science behind those studies and results. She explains the "Why?" of why this diet works for your friend and why it doesn't for you. She also explains why we have gotten fat/obese and there is NOT a magic pill to make it all go away and be slim forever. She explains why it is so important to keep your insulin levels lower for at least 12 hours to be able to correct your body's signals of when to eat and when it is satisfied. As with diets, there is no one diet/fast for all. Our bodies are as unique as our fingerprints and our DNA (which also plays a part of what works and what doesn't). This book has so much information that I have been taking all kinds of notes, making annotations and rereading sections and I am constantly learning. This book is a must have if you want to know why you are hungry all the time or, like me, stand at the fridge or cabinet looking for something to eat but don't know what you want. Which may be your spiked inulin level that is trying to get you to eat more. Gin will tell you many ways you can lower your insulin level and lose the inches, lower your inflammatory response, stay slimmer, have more energy, and feel younger.
