Nascar Racing 1999 edition
For my first PC racing game It is exciting, and realistic, and fun! My 11 year old and I both enjoy it very much. For our firsrt game it has great graphics, and the car drives like a real car, the cars look like real cars. It would be nice if in the pits, the pit crew was shown moving around the car, as they make repairs. Also, to be able to have some part in building the car, in the race shop, beyond just adjusting tire pressures and wedge. Beyonf that and as of today there is nothing we don't like about the game. I boaght it because it fit my budget. I have never been able to afford games new off the store shelf.For my first PC racing game It is exciting, and realistic, and fun! NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition
Although its old by today's graphical standards (640x480 max), this sim / game is a winner. I find myself playing this title instead of the 2003 edition. As my system crawls to its knees with GRID, its no wonder. The 1999 edition shows me that it doesn't take flashy lighting effects and expertly textured 3-D models to make a game great, or enjoyable for hours. I can play 1999 for hours because: 1. Its drivable with a joystick / keyboard (my preference) 2. It has a TON of race tracks 3. It gives you a chance to play the history of NASCAR (Busch Grand National...the original A series) 4. You can download tons of cars for it still. As I said, if you want this to see a precision remake of Jeff Gordon's 2007 flaming Monte Carlo, you will be disappointed.
