    Tremendous CD!

    All of Mike's hits are great songs and will really get you either "pumped up" ("All I Need Is A Miracle") and in some cases very sentimental/sad like his ("The Living Years"). The second tune really touches my heart in a personal way because my dad was very ill in 1966 (he had cancer which they didn't tell me) and they wanted me to go back to start up my sophomore year at an Iowa college. Just a week after being back my mom called on a Sunday morning and said he had passed away.

    My review of "Mike and the Mechanics"

    This group came out in the time of my late 20's and really felt like a Godsend. I was going through big changes, including one state to another by myself and hearing them on radio gave me comfort, because I could relate to the words, the raw sincerity of these guys and even in regard to relationships of any kind: friends, family, lovers, etc. I knew that they had a special kind of wisdom I was looking for. I was looking for direction in music that I wasn't finding in people at all. So yeah, I thought these guys were (and are) cool and doesn't just trickle off or become a fickle fad like so many other profit grubbing bands and singers. This is a band in my heart! William Curto
