Makita 3.0 vs 5.0 LTX Batteries
I purchased these batteries as an additional set to my pair of 3.0 batteries. The 3.0 set I already had was sold as standard with the Makita blower when I bought it. The 3.0 batteries barely got me through most yard task with a general run time of 10-12 minutes depending on how I applied the throttle. When I ran short on a battery charge I would have to put the task on hold and recharge the 3.0’s and finish the job later which is a little inconvenient and was actually a bit distracting with other things I need to get done. Finally, after a few years I had enough of this and decided to just invest in the 5.0 XLT’s. That way, I could just swap out the batteries sets to complete the whole job at the same time and move on. What a big surprise I had when I popped these new babies ... I purchased these batteries as an additional set to my pair of 3.0 batteries. And I don’t even have to do a battery swap with the other set as originally planned. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to buy these again if I had to.. I wish Makita would sell the blower as standard with the 5.0’s - even if it caused the price of the package to increase slightly, it’s just a much better value.

One battery is ok the second one was bad right out of the package. I needed both batteries and instead of replacing the bad one they just refunded half of the purchase. Still got a decent price on a single battery. Will see if it holds up!

I was so excited about getting 4 of these batteries for the price of one! I wasn’t sure it could be true. So far so good but two things are true. They are not brand name Makita batteries, they are VanTech batteries. They don’t have the new charge meters on the ends that the new Makita batteries have and they were a little sticky sliding in and out at first. They have loosened up since. I haven’t run them down yet since I’ve only had them for a week but so far they are doing good. I love having enough batteries for my yard tools as well as my construction tools! Good value for the price
Have been using this battery for a month now, its still working fine. Only negative is that it doesnt fit as snug as the genuine makita battery. But its working well, hold charge for weeks and give a good run time. Used it with my circular saw for a days project and didnt have to recharge. Did all the cutting to install two closets.

Not a Makita battery
It works and seems like it will be ok. It fits and works on all my tools. Generic brand, hope it lasts as long as the branded batteries. Labeling is printed on stickers and they adhere to the battery, including the LED battery charge indicator. Trying to look like a Makita battery, which I don’t care for.
