Welcome Back Commander. Whoa, what happened to the immortalized C&C opening greeting? As some have said this game is different from all it's predecessors and that's the first change you'll notice. About 15 yeas ago I bought and still have the very first Command and Conquer and have all those that have come since. What a great deal of changes and developments of the game have we seen since that first one. The change is sometime's amazing and sometimes not always liked by some. But this game departs greatly from all the others in that you must play it online and herein lies my main complaint against the game. What happens if your internet connection is down or you're sitting in the park with your laptop and there's no WiFi service available? Let me tell you, you can't play the game! It's ... What a great deal of changes and developments of the game have we seen since that first one. The change is sometime's amazing and sometimes not always liked by some. But this game departs greatly from all the others in that you must play it online and herein lies my main complaint against the game. What happens if your internet connection is down or you're sitting in the park with your laptop and there's no WiFi service available? Let me tell you, you can't play the game! It's completely worthless without a high speed internet connection and I wasn't aware of that when I bought it. So when Cox Cable goes down, I can't play, lol. So imagine my frustration when I ended up with 3 of them, but that's another story. Suffice it to say, this game takes some getting used to and some playing to be able to appreciate it. The main disadvantage to traditional gaming is also an advantage of the game in that it is played online and allows you to play with others online as well, albeit not a first for this genre as previous ones have also allowed this. The difference is the previous games allowed you to play the game while not connected to the internet. I believe another drawback of the game is that you must capture and hold Nodes placed around the game battlefield. Even when you set the highest amount of points required to win and longest amount of countdown time to game's end you still have a game that usually only lasts around 10-15 minutes. The one way to have a longer game is to limit the number of players on each side and adjust accordingly. Therein lies the problem. I've topped out in both GDI and NOD but the game rarely lasts long enough to allow you to open up Tier III technology even though you have access to it. The only way is to avoid capturing Nodes and also keep your opponent from capturing nodes as well since this is how you gain points. You'll find that you'll hit 4,000 points all too soon and the game's over before you get to play with the cooler toys like a Mammoth Tank or a Mastodon. Overall I give it a thumbs up as it does have a close resemblance of the game I've loved all these years, but it gives it to you in a very different format so be ready for changes and a new learning curve to be able to enjoy the game as you have the others before it. Oh, one final thing all the guys will notice right off, the sexy BABE or BABES found in the previous games are all gone! If you want to see a really hot female as one of the characters you are SOL! And C&C has had many a memorable BABE in their videos for almost every previous game for you to fall in love with, at least while playing the game, lol. I recommend the game but with notations I've listed above. It does take some time to learn and to enjoy it so don't get discouraged at first when you start playing if you're used to the normal C&C games of the past. At least you don't have have to worry about collecting Tiberium and protecting those damn low IQ Kamikaze self destructive Tiberian Harvesters, lol. Good luck and enjoy Commander!

This game is a disgrace to the command and conquer series. EA has totaly destroyed the style of game play by replacing the basic building ifo structure with towers. Its like they made the game into king of the hill combat. with a limited number of units, until you reach the higher ranks. Its so stupid the olny thing i do when im playing is chase the opponent around from tower to tower. Planed Strategic attacks are basically no where to be found. If you like command and conquer dont buy this game because the game is not worthy of having the command and conquer name.This game is a disgrace to the command and conquer series. CnC4 Tiberium Twilight
Many critics complain that they don't enjoy this game because the gameplay has changed from it's predecessors. I admit it took some getting used to the new changes but I've been enjoying it, and it's part of a game series I've been hooked on for 15 years. It's a lot more multiplayer based, the mission levels can be played 2 player and from what I understand is even sometimes necessary to get through the hard stuff. I've been playing multiplayer online for a bit now and really enjoy it. It's a capture command post based battle with respawn bases and teams of up to 5 players. You can generate as offense defense or support type bases. As you win battles you move up the ranks unlocking new units structures and abilities. Definitely a fun game, and great for people that are fans of the strategy ... Many critics complain that they don't enjoy this game because the gameplay has changed from it's predecessors. The Command and Conquer series is one of the best strategy games for any platform, specially for PC. You choose to be either good or bad then will progress on conquering... The most you conquer the better weapons, technology and buildings, you'll get. Don't know why, but bad guys has better arsenal... Tiberian Twightlight is one of the newest add-ons on the C&C legacy of strategy gamming. You'll need a fast processor here like 2.0GHz and up. If you ever play Warcraft it is almost the same regarding strategy... Highly recommended!The Command and Conquer series is one of the best strategy games for any platform, specially for PC.
