Seller accepted my offer but was non-communicative on the shipping. I emailed about the status. Seller indicated he was out of town and was shipping in the next 2 days. On that day, seller didn’t ship and unexpectedly refunded the sale. Seller claimed to have found an issue with the item and did not feel comfortable selling it. I explained to the seller that I understood the issue, knew it was sold ‘as is’ as stated in his ad, and still desired to buy it. Seller refused to sell.

Seller was inside the shipping due date window set by eBay. Seller was non-communicative for this reason and provided buyer with update when prompted. On the shipping due date, seller inspected the item while packaging and realized there was an issue with the product. Seller could not proceed with the sale in good faith knowing the item was inoperable. Listing "as is" in the description still means there is full intention on selling a fully capable item, and not a broken one.
