Functional, but rather fragile and finicky; any significant movement of the cable can work the internal wires and plug loose, leading to various problems. While sitting still, you can move the wire around and hear static noise as the audio cuts in and out! Doesn't help if the device's USB-C port is "worn" or "loose" either. Running while the audio cuts in and out of the right channel is annoying, but for the price, maybe it's to be expected.
