Commercial grade comprable with higher cost units

I've owned one of these printers for 13 years. Printed thousands of copies, pictures, letters, and index covers. Good color, works with OEM toner, and is a rugged commercial level printer. Prints envelopes, but doesn't print quantities of envelopes well. The paper pick up is unreliable for the tray feed. Manual feed works every time, but takes one at a time by hand. I have a Dell 1760 which actually handles envelopes better, still requires "hand-holding", but feeds more automatically. I print 160 envelopes in a mailing by-monthly. I've had only a few issues with the print head during that time. Replacing the key parts for functionality including the toner is simple and straightforward. I would recommend this unit to anyone, even my non-techy mom.

  • Dell 1320c Color Laser Printer

Although I'v never owned a laser color printer, i am impressed with this model from Dell. Yes, it is much larger than the standard B&W models, but it is still amazingly compact and does fit nicely on a normal desk. Print quality is excellent and crisp. As well, for the $$ it is one of the best deals out there. The only feature I wasn't aware of is that it takes more power than a B&W or Inkjet or photo printer. When I plugged it into my power bar which is connected to a backup battery system it overloaded and shut down. I plugged it into another outlet which works fine.

  • Dell 1320c Laser Printer - A good value

Upon acceptance to dental school, I found out all the textbooks have to be purchased in digital format, which wasn't going to work for me since I can't squint at a computer screen to study for hours on end. I knew that I would need to print quickly, affordably, in color for diagrams, and that the print quality needed to be high for the illustrations. On a college budget, I shopped around and looked for printers from many, many manufacturers and decided on this one. Dell changed the design slightly at the time of my purchase and reduced the msrp from $299 to $249 and made the printer slightly smaller in size. However, the number of pages per minute decreased, especially in B&W so I bought one of the full size models from ebay because I wanted the print speed. I also ...

  • Dell 1320c - not worth the effort

Printer would be a great value if the error messages were easier to understand and solve. Goes through toner like crazy. Noisy. Very convoluted instructions to align the print heads and when that does not work all support sources say to replace the print head device (PHD) - at the cost of the overall printer. The math suggests that I should replace the PHD about every other toner replacement. No economy there. Now I have an error message that I cannot decipher....007-371 which sources say is a registry problem. Since when does a printer tell you that you have a registry problem? So it sits comfortably on my printer stand with a blinking exclamation point. I'm a Dell guy - liking their products but the 1320c printer has required more energy and mental CPU time than it deserved. The ...

  • Amazing Quality! Affordable Pricing!

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a new Dell 1320c laser printer. Not only is this a beautiful printer to look at, it is a snap to set up and use. The software was included and easily installed on my computer offering simple step by step instructions to follow. The quality of the prints are also outstanding. I run a small graphics office in my home and need a good quality printer for some of my projects. This really fit the ticket. I am truly impressed with this little printer. I paid under $200 for mine and the toners can be easily purchased on Ebay for about half the price of my old laser printer and it prints just as many, about 2000 sheets @ 5%. I love this printer and I am thrilled it is part of my office now.
